US Insights webinar: Advancing Innovation via collaboration with US National Laboratories

An introduction to the US National Labs incl. the National Institute of Health (NIH) and why they can be attractive partners for emerging companies

The US National Laboratories are a network of research institutions across the United States, collectively managed by the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), and other government agencies. They conduct cutting-edge research and development in areas such as energy, national security, and health. These laboratories are staffed by scientists and engineers who work collaboratively with academia, industry, and government to solve some of the most complex challenges facing society. Partnering with national labs can accelerate research and development efforts, provide funding and mentorship opportunities, and offer access to e.g. high-throughput screening technologies, genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics expertise for drug discovery and development.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is one of the largest biomedical research institutions in the world. The NIH also offers a range of collaborative opportunities for industry partners such as access to cutting-edge technology, research tools, and scientific expertise. Through collaborations with the NIH, industry partners can accelerate their research and development efforts, gain a competitive edge, and speed up the development of innovative products and therapies. Partnering with national labs can be a strategic move for companies looking to bring their products to market more effectively.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • About the NIH as a Technology Development and Commercialization Partner
  • The US National Laboratory Landscape and how to collaborate with Federal Labs
  • The NIH and other National labs as resources companies should consider to bolster their pipeline or solve a development problem
  • Why industry partnerships are mutually beneficial for companies and the NIH and National Labs
  • About success stories and partnership examples
  • Whom to contact and which partnering mechanisms are used
