Welfare Technology: Webinar and Matchmaking

In 2020-2021, there will be over 2 million Euro available for the funding of Welfare Technology projects under the EEA and Norway Grants. Bulgarian companies are eligible to apply (as are other companies from EEA and Norway Grant beneficiary countries) - and Norwegian organisations can become partners. Are you interested in joining one of these projects? Main Target Group

  • Eligible applicants:
    • Bulgarian registered SMEs, and large enterprises registered in Bulgaria with with no more than 25 % public ownership.
    • Other SMEs and large enterprises from EEA and Norway Grants beneficiary countries, such as Poland, with no more than 25 % public ownership.
  • Eligible partners
    • Any private or public entity, commercial or non-commercial, established as a legal person in Norway, Iceland or in Bulgaria, or another EEA and Norway Grants country.

Relevant Project Topics

In general, projects should contribute to either of these two points:

  • The development of innovative welfare products / services / technologies / processes / solutions.
  • The commercialisation (new to the market) of innovative welfare products / services / technologies commercialised.
Typical activities would include:
  • Development of innovative WT-technologies and services that helps elderly and persons with disabilities to become more independent and self-reliant; 
  • Development of WT-products, services and solutions that would help meeting the social and health challenges of the ageing society; 
  • Development of technological solutions mainly used by/support staff that delivers or carry out welfare services.
