Alrek Health Cluster is a future-oriented cluster project initiated by the University of Bergen, well recognized in the health professional environments in the Bergen area.

Alrek Health Cluster will become an international powerhouse within health research and take new paths to find good solutions to local and global health challenges. We will also educate tomorrow's health workers and ensure students holistic theoretical and practical knowledge - and create unique frameworks for business development related to health and care technology.
Alrek Health Cluster is established in the district Årstad in Bergen, centrally located within walking distance of Haukeland University Hospital, the Dentist and Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital. With premises totaling 24,000 m2, a fully developed health cluster can house all of Bergen's health students and research and business development environments related to health.
The first construction phase will start in 2017 and will be completed in 2020. Then a brand new building of 10,000 m2 will be ready in Årstadveien 17 for the Department of Global Health and Community Medicine, parts of the Faculty of Psychology, Uni Health and important academic environments from Bergen University College and Bergen municipality.
