Aphthous ulcers are benign yet painful oral lesions of unknown origin, affecting 20% of the population across all ethnic groups and geographic regions. These ulcers can significantly diminish a patient's quality of life, causing considerable pain that interferes with chewing and speaking. Aphthous stomatitis frequently re-occurs.
OriPatch aims to provide relief for individuals suffering from painful mouth ulcers, helping them maintain their daily routines despite the presence of these lesions. OriPatch has developed an innovative patch specifically designed to alleviate pain caused by mouth ulcers, including aphthous ulcers. This unique patch is applied directly to the affected area, delivering targeted pain relief while offering protection.
The OriPatch features a two-layer technology that serves distinct purposes, ensuring localized protection on the oral mucosa before safely dissolving. This combination of properties makes the product truly unique. The patch not only alleviates symptoms of aphthous stomatitis but also addresses other forms of painful oral wounds, such as cuts, trauma, and issues related to dentures and orthodontic appliances (both fixed and removable).
OriPatch is classified as a Class IIa medical device.
