The way to succeed in the Norwegian market - NorCare - Two days seminar

Do you have a company in Denmark, Sweden or Finland? Do you want to increase growth in the Norwegian market? Grab the opportunity and participate in this enlightening two-day seminar, which gives advice about successful entrance strategies.

Venue: Innovation Park Stavanger, "Måltidets hus" Richard Johnsens gate 4, 4021 Stavanger, Norway

When: 17.01.2019  at 11:00 to 18.01.2019  at 13:30

Price attending: Free (Networking dinner not included)

Thursday 17th and Friday 18th of January 2019, Norwegian Smart Care Cluster will host - within the framework of the Nordic collaboration, NorCare - a two-day seminar, where Nordic companies get the opportunity to establish a solid network and relations of important key persons and companies. Passionate speakers will help and guide the attendees with the un-answered questions regarding how Nordic companies get closer to realise their potential on the Norwegian market. The two-day seminar invites to open dialogue, promises central key-takeaways and leads, lots of network, and case presentations by companies – among others within the field of system integrators - who already have Norwegian business collaborators and/or have received success on the Norwegian market.

Receive feedback from Norwegian professionals

The attendees will be offered the chance to receive feedback on their products from a professional panel constituting of:

  • Professionals, who can be your future Norwegian business partner
  • Experts with commercial knowledge, who can boost business- and service models
  • Experts with knowledge of the Norwegian range of products.

Moreover, meet companies, who will involve us in their experiences concerning the Norwegian market. Further, professionals from Norwegian municipalities will attend and dive into the future.

We will prepare the ground for a debate of how this knowledge can be applied to and customize the context of public-private collaboration. Also, the two-day seminar is the unique opportunity to meet and network with those companies, that are ready for the Nordic markets too and are in search of business partners, sales agents, and the like.

The event is international and will be held in English. The agenda below will be regularly updated.

Agenda

Day 1: Thursday 17th of January 2019

11:00 Pre-session: Introduction to the Norwegian welfare market

What should a company do when entering the Norwegian Welfare tech market. Market research, entry strategies (direct sales, licensing and franchise, joint ventures or wholly owned subsidiary?) entry implementations. How to take the first cold call, get the first meeting, the first contract. A company gives us the true story about their entry into the Norwegian market.

15:30  Get easier access to the Norwegian market with a test performed in Norway by Norwegian users for you product or service

We are often sceptic to offerings from companies outside Norway because the risk of the products or services provided are not tested and proven in Norway. You may bring up the Danish, Swedish or Finnish (or other countries) references you have, but it is often better if the product or service is tested in Norway by Norwgian users when you want to sell to a Norwegian purchaser. Marit Hagland from the Norwegian Smart Care Lab will walk you through how you can get your products or services tested in a Norwegian environment.

15:30 How does a Norwegian purchasers mind work? Meet the Municipality/hospitals (purchaser's) requirements

What are the must have, should have and nice to have points in your tender. Financial strengths, ability to deliver, etc. How can a company reduce the risks for the purchaser so she/he is confident in selecting products or services from your company. How is quality vs price rated? Will price always win? Nils Henrik Haaland, Procurement Director, Stavanger Municipality
