NSCC awarded with Bronze Label
Norwegian Smart Care Cluster has been awarded with the Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative.
The quality assessment of Smart Care Cluster organization was performed by the benchmarking expert Tor-Arne Bellika of Innovation Performance AS. In a comment Bellika says:
"The awarding of the bronze quality label to the NSCC is an important step to help NSCC improve faster and provide more and better growth enabling services to its members. Keep up the focus on implementing the best cluster management practices, set your sight on qualifying for a silver or a gold quality label within two years. This will help you in the long term work to brand Stavanger as one of the global hotspots for people and companies developing new Smart Care products and services."
European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) advises particular cluster managers and policy makers on cluster de-velopment while relying on an international network of specifically trained ESCA experts. ESCA ex-perts have developed a methodology for cluster benchmarking that is acknowledged by both cluster managers and policy makers throughout Europe. Since 2008, more than 800 cluster management organisations have been benchmarked according to this methodology. Being additionally linked to and involved in the European Clusters Excellence Initiative (ECEI) from 2009 to 2012, ESCA experts con-tributed to the development of various tools that support cluster managers on their way to excellence.
